Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that bridge deck preservation work will continue on a portion of Route 40 in South Union Township, Fayette County.
Single-lane restrictions will continue on Route 40 in both directions between Route 3019 (Morgantown Street)/Route 119 (Morgantown Road) and Route 3009 (Walnut Hill Road).
Lane restrictions began in mid-September and are anticipated to continue through late-November, depending on weather and operations.
These operations are part of a $2.4 million bridge deck preservation project that includes installation of latex concrete overlay on five different bridges throughout Fayette County and other bridge repair work. The project is anticipated to be complete in late 2023.
