    Route 2027 River Road Slide Repair Work Starts Monday in Allegheny County

    Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing slide remediation work on a portion of River Road (Route 2027) in Port Vue Borough and the City of McKeesport, Allegheny County will begin Monday, August 18 weather permitting.

    A portion of River Road between River Drive and Rebecca Street will close to traffic beginning at approximately 7:00 AM Monday continuously through mid-September to allow crews to conduct slide remediation work. Traffic will be detoured.

    North of the Closure

    • From River road, turn left onto Rebecca Street and then a quick left on Ramp Number 1
    • Turn left onto West 5th Avenue and cross the Jerome Street Bridge
    • Turn right onto Route 148 (Walnut Street)
    • Turn right and cross the 15th Street Bridge
    • Turn left onto River Drive
    • End detour

    South of the Closure

    • From River Road turn onto River Drive
    • Turn right on Liberty Way and cross the 15th Street Bridge
    • Turn left onto Route 148 (Walnut Street)
    • Turn left onto Lysle Boulevard and cross the Jerome Street Bridge
    • End detour

    Local access will be maintained.

    PennDOT crews will conduct the slide remediation work.

    Please use caution if traveling on this roadway. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
