Whitestown Road Detour for Reconstruction Begins August 25 in Butler Township, Butler County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing Whitestown Road (T-431) will be closed for reconstruction on August 25 in Butler Township, Butler County.

Whitestown Road will be closed on August 25 at 12:00 AM through September 6 at 11:45 PM between the intersections of Route 68 and Whitestown Road to allow for the reconstruction/widening of Whitestown Road.  To access Whitestown Road motorists will travel Route 68 to Eagle Mill Road to Whitestown Road.

This three-year project includes signal replacements, turn lane installation and corridor improvements to enhance safety and reduce congestion along PA 68.

Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College, PA is the contractor for this $18.7 million project which is estimated to be completed in November 2025.
