Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today the closure of Double Road (T-541) for the corridor improvement project on Route 68 in Butler and Connoquenessing Townships in Butler County.
Double Road (T-541) will be closed July 14 through 26 as crews do a full-depth asphalt replacement to restore the structural integrity of the roadway.
To access Double Road (T-541) from Route 68, motorists will travel Dick Road (Route 2029). Detour signs will be posted.
This three-year project includes signal replacements, turn lane installation and corridor improvements to enhance safety and reduce congestion along PA 68. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College, PA is the contractor for this $18.7 million project which is estimated to be completed in November 2025.
