Uniontown, PA – PennDOT District 12 is advising motorists that a portion of Route 1022 (Rolling Hills Estate Road) will be closed to bridge traffic over Route 119 between Route 1051 (Bute Road) and Route 1020 (North Gallatin Avenue) in North Union Township, Fayette County. The closure is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 24 and is anticipated to remain in place through mid-August, weather and operational dependent.
The closure will be in place to allow crews from Swank Construction to apply latex overlay to the bridge deck.

This work is part of a $2.4 million bridge preservation project that includes installation of latex concrete overlay on five different bridges throughout Fayette County and other bridge repair work. The project is anticipated to be complete in late 2023.
