Lane restrictions on I-83 this Thursday and Friday
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that an inspection is planned for this Thursday and Friday for the Elmerton Avenue bridge spanning Interstate 83 near Harrisburg in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County.
Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Thursday, December 19, and Friday, December 20. There will be alternating right and left lane closures on northbound I-83 on Thursday, and southbound I-83 on Friday.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
