Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 has announced regularly scheduled routine safety inspection of the West Newton Bridge carrying Route 136 (West Main Street) over Youghiogheny River in West Newton Borough, Westmoreland County.
Daytime single-lane lane restrictions controlled by flaggers are scheduled between Collinsburg Road and Water Street on Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20 from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM each day depending on weather and operations.
Crews from TranSystems Corporation Consultants will be conducting the inspection.
Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
