DHS Licensing

Mental Health Programs Licensing

The Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) is responsible for the licensure of a variety of services ranging from outpatient to inpatient mental health providers. There are four Regional Field Offices that are a part of the Eastern and Western Operations. The Regional Field Offices and the counties they cover are listed below.

Are You a New Provider?

OMHSAS oversees the licensure of a variety of mental health and support services. Prospective providers must obtain licensure or approval by OMHSAS to provide these services. Visit the Mental Health Licensing Information for New Providers page to find regulations, standards, compliance guides, and more.

Are You an Existing Provider?

Are you looking for a specific resource that you can’t find? Please reach out to your assigned licensing representative.  If you don't know who that person is you may also reach out to the applicable Field Office that covers the county in which your agency is located. Some forms utilized by existing providers are listed below.
