    Standard Operating Procedures

    The Office of Oil and Gas Management (OOGM) utilizes internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to promote consistency among staff involved in ensuring compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and Regulations implemented and enforced by the Department.  Some of these SOPs have replaced Technical Guidance Documents formerly available in eLibrary.  To maintain transparency, these internal SOPs are publicly available here for review.  These SOPs represent guidelines, not regulation, and OOGM staff may deviate from these SOPs when circumstances warrant, acting with the Department’s administrative discretion.
