    Liberty Soils is a biosolids processing facility in Schuylkill County that has filed an application with the department to increase the daily maximum tonnage at its facility.  Liberty is proposing to accept a monthly average of 300 wet tons per day of biosolids, with a daily maximum of 500 wet tons. The current permit allows a daily maximum of 300 wet tons of biosolids. This Major Modification to increase the maximum daily tonnage limit to 500 tons per day was approved on March 24, 2026.
