DEP to Host Public Hearing for NPDES Permit Application for Mora Solar, LLC

Hearing to accept public input on draft NPDES Permit No. PAD130054

Scranton, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will host a hearing on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 6:00PM to accept testimony regarding the draft National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit (NPDES) submitted for Mora Solar LLC.

The hearing will take place at Jim Thorpe Area High School, 1 Olympian Way, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229. Representatives from DEP and Mora Solar, LLC will be in attendance.

Individuals wishing to testify at the hearing must submit written notice to Patti Monahan, Regional Communications Manager, Carbon County NPDES Mora Solar, PA DEP, 2 Public Square, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701-1915, or by email at pamonahan@pa.gov.    

DEP will accept requests up to the day of hearing. DEP asks that individuals limit their testimony to five minutes to ensure all individuals have the opportunity to testify. All comments, whether delivered orally during the hearing or submitted in writing will carry equal weight and consideration with DEP. Individuals attending the hearing will have the opportunity to testify if they so desire. Individuals who pre-register to testify will be given priority on the agenda.
