    PennDOT to Close a Section of State Route 2002 in Jefferson Township, Lackawanna County

    Dunmore, PA – A section of State Route 2002 (Wimmers Road) in Jefferson Township will close for bridge repairs from Tuesday, July 15, 2025, through August 1, 2025. The detour is as follows:

    Traveling East from SR 2002 (Wimmers Road):

    • From State Route 2002 (Wimmers Road), turn right onto State Route 348
    • Travel to stop sign at the intersection of State Route 590 West.
    • Turn right onto State Route 590 West and travel 3.2 miles.
    • Turn right onto State Route 2002.

    Traveling West from SR 2002 (Wimmers Road):

    • From State Route 2002 (Wimmers Road), turn left onto State Route 590 East.
    • Travel  to the intersection with State Route 348 West.
    •  From State Route 590 turn left onto Route 348 West and travel 3.7 miles.
    • Turn left onto State Route 2002 (Wimmers Road).
