    Non-powered boats only

    The 3.5-acre Doubling Gap Lake is popular for boating with:

    • Kayaks
    • Canoes
    • Paddleboards

    Boating is prohibited from the opening day of trout season to the Friday before Memorial Day.

    Boats must be carried in from the nearby parking lot and launched in the designated launch area located at the west end of the beach.

    Boat Registration

    Non-powered boats must display one of the following:

    • Boat registration
    • Launch permit or mooring permit from Pennsylvania state parks -- available at most state park offices
    • Launch permit from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission
