Bridge Rehabilitation Project to Start in Blair County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that Amari Painting & Lining, LLC, of Meadowlands, will begin a project Monday, April 17, 2023, to rehabilitate the Grazierville Truss bridge that carries Route 4027 (Old U.S. 220) over the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks in Snyder Township, Blair County.

Beginning Monday, the road will be closed, and traffic will follow a 5.7-mile detour from Route 4027 (E. Pleasant Valley Boulevard) to Route 4027 (Washington Avenue) to Route 4027 (Tenth Street) to Route 4027 (Pennsylvania Avenue) to Route 453 to Interstate 99 to the Grazierville Exit and back to Route 4027. The detour will be in place for the duration of the project.

The contractor will make steel repairs, apply new paint, and make guide rail and sidewalk upgrades.

The $3,282,465 project is expected to be completed by the end of August 2023 and all work is weather dependent.
