King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities will occur next week on several state highways across Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Philadelphia
- Saturday, August 5, and Saturday, August 12, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure is scheduled on southbound Interstate 95 between the Route 291 and the Philadelphia County line for brush and debris clean-up;
- Monday, August 7, through Friday, September 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, weekday alternating lane closures are scheduled on the northbound deck of the I-95 Girard Point Bridge between the Enterprise Avenue and the Broad Street interchanges for bridge inspection;
- Monday, August 7, through Thursday, August 10, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Route 611 and the Packer Avenue interchanges for guiderail installation; and
- Monday, August 7, through Thursday, August 10, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Packer Avenue and the Columbus Boulevard interchanges for guiderail installation.
Bucks County
- Sunday, August 6, through Friday, August 11, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (Martin Luther King Jr. Expressway) between the Route 213 (Maple Avenue) and the Pennsylvania Avenue interchanges in Middleton and Falls townships and Morrisville Borough for line striping;
- Sunday, August 6, through Friday, August 11, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 13 between the Bristol Township line and the U.S. 1 Interchange in Falls Township and Tullytown Borough for line striping;
- Sunday, August 6, through Friday, August 11, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Route 132 (Street Road) between the Route 611 and the I-95 interchanges in Warrington, Warminster, Upper Southampton, Lower Southampton, and Bensalem townships for line striping;
- Sunday, August 6, through Friday, August 11, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 202 (Doylestown Bypass) between the Route 611 and the East Road Overpass in Doylestown Township and Doylestown Borough for line striping;
- Sunday, August 6, through Friday, August 11, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Interstate 295 between the Middletown Township line and Ford Road Overpass in Middletown and Bristol townships for line striping;
- Sunday, August 6, through Friday, August 11, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Route 611 (South Easton Road/Doylestown Bypass/Easton Road) between the Ferry Road Overpass and Edison Furlong Road in Plumstead and Doylestown townships and Doylestown Borough for line striping;
- Sunday, August 6, through Friday, August 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Bristol Road/Gibson Road between Butler Avenue and Bensalem Boulevard in New Britain, Warrington, Doylestown, Warwick, Northampton, Lower Southampton, and Bensalem townships and Chalfont Borough for line striping;
- Sunday, August 6, through Friday, August 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Heacock Road/Oxford Valley Road/Bristol Oxford Valley Road/Bath Road/Bath Street between Stony Hill Road and Otter Street in Lower Makefield, Falls, Middletown, and Bristol townships and Bristol Borough for line striping;
- Sunday, August 6, through Friday, August 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Almshouse Road between Butler Avenue and Route 332 (Jacksonville Road) in New Britain, Doylestown, Warwick, and Northampton townships for line striping;
- Monday, August 7 and Tuesday, August 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure with traffic paces will be in place on eastbound Route 332 (Yardley Newtown Road) between Stony Hill Road and Interstate 295 in Lower Makefield Township for sign structure demolition; and
- Wednesday, August 9, through Friday, August 11, from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, St. Peters Road will be reduced to a single lane with flagging between Wells Road and Harmonyville Road in Warwick Township for drainage repair.
Chester County
- Monday, August 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Yellow Springs Road between North Valley Road and Diamond Rock Hill Road in Tredyffrin Township for bridge inspection.
Delaware County
- Monday, August 7, through Thursday, August 10, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure is scheduled on northbound Interstate 476 between the Baltimore Pike and I-95 interchanges in Nether Providence, Springfield, and Ridley townships for guiderail installation.
Montgomery County
- Monday, August 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Route 309 (Fort Washington Expressway) between the I-276 (Pennsylvania Turnpike) and the Highland Avenue interchanges in Upper Dublin Township for bridge inspection;
- Monday, August 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 23 (Valley Forge Road) between Henderson Road and West 4th Street in Upper Merion Township for bridge inspection;
- Monday, August 7, through Thursday, August 10, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-76 between the City Avenue and the Green Lane interchanges in Lower Merion Township for guiderail installation;
- Tuesday, August 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound Route 100 between Jackson Road and County Line Road in Douglass Township for bridge inspection; and
- Monday, August 7, through Friday, August 11, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 113 (Main Street) at the Green Street Intersection and at the Church Street Intersection in Souderton Borough for ADA curb ramp replacement.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
