    Director of Legislative Affairs and Policy

    Brittany Van Strien

    Brittany Van Strien is the Director of Legislative Affairs and Policy for the Department of Revenue (DOR). In her role, she analyzes legislation, assists with constituent inquiries from legislative staff, and strengthens relationships with members of the General Assembly and stakeholders.

    Brittany joined DOR in 2025 and initially served as the Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs for the agency. Prior to joining DOR, Brittany worked for the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania as a government relations strategist. Before that role, she served as a capital & debt analyst in the Office of the Budget and worked on a team to prepare for and conduct bond sales for the Commonwealth.

    Brittany started her career with the PA House of Representatives, where she developed policy and legislation and served as a budget analyst for the House Appropriations Committee. Brittany is a two-time Temple alum and lives in Harrisburg with her husband, Brian, and dog, Jolene.
