    Kayaking and Canoeing Opportunities

    A hand-carry boat launch for non-motorized boats is in Area 5 just below the dam remnant. It provides access to slack water boating in Raystown Lake. In the spring, boaters enjoy swift water boating in Great Trough Creek.

    Non-powered boats that launch in the park must display one of the following:

    • Boat registration
    • Launch permit or mooring permit from Pennsylvania State Parks, available at most state park offices
    • Launch permit from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission
