    Less Than Four Domains (LT4D) Calculator

    Imputes an Overall Composite Scale Score (IOCSS) and Proficiency Level (IOCPL) for English learners with disabilities who are waived from one or two ACCESS for ELLs domains. Uses WIDA's reweighting methodology, updated for the 2025-26 scale. ACCESS only; not for Alternate ACCESS.

    Enter the grade and the scale scores for the domains the student took. Leave one or two domain fields blank, depending on how many domains the student was waived from. Do not enter zeros for missing domains.

    About this tool. Based on WIDA's reweighting methodology described in the technical report "Generating Alternate Overall Composite Scale Scores for English Learners with Disabilities Who Are Missing Domain Scores in the ACCESS for ELLs Assessment" by Narek Sahakyan. The reweighting coefficients are unchanged from the WIDA-published LT4D tool. The proficiency level lookup uses the 2025-26 concordance values published by WIDA.

    When to use. Only when the student has been formally waived from one or two ACCESS domains due to an identified disability. The tool produces an imputed composite for use in reclassification eligibility decisions. If all four domain scores are present, use the OACPL calculator instead.

    Update planned. WIDA will publish an updated LT4D tool after standard setting completes (summer 2026). At that point this version should be retired in favor of the official update.

    Privacy. All calculations run in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server and no student data is stored.
