Many institutions provide a Veterans Center on campus. Often specialized advisors and admissions counselors are also designated to specifically help military and veteran students with their specific needs. If you cannot find these resources through the school’s website, ask at admissions or registration offices.
GI Bill® Benefits
The Pennsylvania State Approving Agency (SAA) ensures that eligible Veterans and family members have access to quality programs of education and training at which they may utilize their earned VA Education benefits to help pay for college, graduate school, and training programs.
Veterans Education

- Yellow Ribbon Schools – Find Yellow Ribbon Program benefits by school
Military and Veteran Support Services
- U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs – Official home to the benefits and health care provided to Veterans, service members, and family members
- PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs – Programs and services for military veterans living in the commonwealth including records requests, Vet resources, and financial assistance.
- Military OneSource – Support resources including counseling, education, and employment help for military personnel and their families
- VETS | U.S. Department of Labor – Employment resources for veterans, service members, and military spouses
- Pennsylvania Civil Service Commission – Hiring preference given to qualifying veterans when applying for civil service opportunities with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
