    Once accepted, the FID application is in effect for three school years (i.e.7/1/26-6/30/29). 

    A public school entity must have an accepted application in order to use the program. The annual FID application window opens on April 1st and closes on June 1st . All completed applications, which include Board minutes or a Board President affirmation statement attesting to the fact that the Board reviewed, voted, and approved the application, must be submitted by June 1st.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.  By Statute, PDE cannot provide any extensions to the deadline.   PDE must review all complete submitted applications and must render final determinations by August 1st.
