King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, and Delaware counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Bucks County
- Monday, May 15, through Wednesday, May 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Winchester Avenue between Route 413 (Pine Street) and Cherry Street in Langhorne Borough.
Chester County
- Monday, May 15, through Friday, June 2, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a weekday lane closure is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) between Manor Road and Route 252 (Leopard Road/Bearhill Road) in Tredyffrin and Willistown townships;
- Tuesday, May 16, through Tuesday, May 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 842 (Miner Street) at the intersection with Wayne Street in West Chester Borough; and
- Monday, June 5, through Friday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) between Laurelwood Road and Scholl Road in North Coventry Township.
Delaware County
- Monday, May 22, through Monday, July 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday closure is scheduled on Marshall Road between Clearbrook Avenue and Maple Avenue in Upper Darby Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Lansdowne Avenue, Stewart Avenue/Pembroke Avenue, and Church Lane/69th Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
