King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on several state highways in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Chester County
- Monday, June 12, through Friday, June 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on U.S. 322 (Horseshoe Pike) in both directions between Edges Mill Road and Brantwyn Drive in East Brandywine and Caln townships;
- Monday, June 12, through Monday, June 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on southbound U.S. 1 (Baltimore Pike) at the intersection with Elmwood Drive in Kennett Township;
- Monday, June 12, through Monday, June 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (Market Street) at the intersection with Church Street in West Chester Borough;
- Monday, June 12, through Friday, June 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 52 (Price Street) between Business U.S. 322 (High Street) and Church Street in West Chester Borough;
- Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 252 (Swedesford Road) between Route 252 (Valley Forge Road) and Contention Lane in Tredyffrin Township;
- Tuesday, June 13, through Thursday, June 15, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 3 (Market Street) at the intersection with Darlington Street in West Chester Borough; and
- Tuesday, June 13, through Friday, June 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Chestnut Street between Matlack Street and Walnut Street in West Chester Borough.
Delaware County
- Monday, June 26, through Friday, September 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Darby Road will be closed and detoured weekdays between College Avenue and Coopertown Road in Haverford Township. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use College Avenue and Coopertown Road. Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.
Montgomery County
- Tuesday, June 13, through Tuesday, June 20, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 320 (Spring Mill Road) at the intersection with County Line Road in Lower Merion Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
