King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Digital Message Sign (DMS) improvements will continue next week on Interstate 95 in Bucks and Delaware counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, August 28, through Thursday, August 31, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Route 132 (Street Road) and the Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) interchanges in Bensalem Township, Bucks County; and
- Tuesday, August 29, through Thursday, August 31, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on the northbound I-95 ramp to Interstate 476 in Ridley Township, Delaware County.
The DMS work is part of a $24.1 million project to upgrade and improve Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) components across the Philadelphia region. The ITS equipment will be used by PennDOT's Regional Traffic Management Center (RTMC) to monitor travel conditions and provide motorists with real-time information about area highways.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
