King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that conduit repair and Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) installations will begin next week on two sections of southbound Interstate 95 in Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, February 20, through Thursday, February 23, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Broad Street/Pattison Avenue (Exit 17) and Bartram Avenue/Essington Avenue (Exit 14) interchanges for conduit repair;
- Monday, February 27, through Thursday, March 2, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a left lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Broad Street/Pattison Avenue (Exit 17) and Bartram Avenue/Essington Avenue (Exit 14) interchanges for conduit repair; and
- Wednesday, March 1, through Tuesday, March 14, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a double lane closure will be in place weeknights on southbound I-95 just north of the Allegheny Avenue/Castor Avenue (Exit 25) Interchange for ITS installation.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
