King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Comcast will be performing overhead fiber installations on several state highways in Chester County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, May 22, through Thursday, June 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) between Baltimore Pike and State Street in Avondale Borough;
- Monday, May 22, through Thursday, June 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 896 (Newark Road) between Oxford Road and State Road in New London Township; and
- Monday, May 22, through Thursday, June 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Baltimore Pike/State Street between Route 41 (Pennsylvania Avenue) and Meredith Street in Avondale and Kennett Square boroughs and New Garden and Kennett townships.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
