Dunmore, PA – PennDOT will be closing a portion of Nay Aug Avenue in Scranton for reconstruction as part of the Green Ridge Street Bridge Replacement Project today, December 4, 2024 and will reopen in the fall of 2026. Access for Pioneer Distributing will remain open throughout construction.
In addition, pedestrians who utilize the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail (LRHT) will be detoured during the construction of the temporary roadway for Green Ridge Street. See the below pedestrian detour map. The temporary roadway is anticipated to be completed in the spring of 2025. At that time, LRHT pedestrians will be able to access the trail along the temporary roadway. Green Ridge Street will remain open for pedestrians throughout construction.
