Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a tree clearing project is set to begin today on Route 44 in Watson Township, Lycoming County.
Starting on Thursday, September 7, 2023, the contractor, Green Acres Contracting Corporation, will begin clearing trees along Route 44 between Furnace Run Road and Route 973. Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging where work is being performed. Work will be performed during daylight hours.
Green Acres Contracting Corporation is the prime contractor for this $250,000 tree clearing project. This project will remove trees in preparation for utility relocation and an embankment stabilization project.
Motorists should be alert, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
