Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a portion of Route 1011 (Ford Street) is closed in Pike Township, Braford County, for a bridge replacement project.
On Monday, March 18, 2024, Ford Street was closed between Prattville Road (T-733) and Snowhill Road (T-800), while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew begins preparation work to replace the structure over Ross Creek. A detour using Route 1026 (East Street), Route 467, and Route 706, will be in place for the duration of the project.
Work on the project includes removal of the existing structure, replacement with a new concrete box culvert, approach work, line painting, and guide rail upgrades. The project is expected to be completed in May of 2024, weather permitting.
Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
