Bridge Rehabilitation Project Continues Next Week on Proctor Road Over Plunketts Creek, Lycoming County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised a bridge rehabilitation project continues on Route 1005 (Proctor Road) in Plunketts Creek Township, Lycoming County.

The week of Monday, June 3, 2024, the contractor, Rylind Construction, will be begin preparation work to switch traffic to the opposite lane. Work includes installation of guide rail and delineators. When traffic is switched to the opposite lane, the contractor will begin rehabilitation work on the upstream side of the bridge.

Traffic control devices and temporary signals will remain in place for the duration of the second phase.

Rylind Construction is the prime contractor for this $700,000 resurface and ADA reconstruction project. The work consists of bridge rehabilitation work, milling and resurfacing of existing roadway either side of the structure over Plunketts Creek, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction. This project is expected to be completed in late October of 2024, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, watch for stopped or slow-moving vehicles, and drive with caution through the work zone.
