Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that paving on Route 1010 (Hubler Ridge Road) beneath the Interstate 80 overpass in Marion Township, Centre County, is complete. This work was part of a larger project to replace four I-80 bridges.
The contractor has removed the concrete barriers and is painting the pavement markings and removing traffic control. They will reopen both lanes of traffic by the close of business today. Should the weather prevent the contractor from completing the pavement markings, they will return next week to finish them. In that event, the road will still reopen by the close of business today.
Overall work on this project consists of concrete and asphalt paving on Interstate 80, Hubler Ridge, and Sand Ridge roads, milling and paving, drainage improvements, guide rail installation, pavement marking, and miscellaneous construction. Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College, PA, is the contractor for this $22 million project that will continue through the 2026 construction season.
