    PennDOT’s Fayette County Maintenance Update

    July 20, 2023

    ​Uniontown, PA – Fayette County Maintenance Manager, Jason L. Spangler, announced the following tentative work plan for the week of July 24, 2023. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting and operational basis.

    During county maintenance work activities motorists should expect to encounter flaggers, single-lane restrictions, moving operations, and detours. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.

    Bridge Replacement is scheduled for:

    • Route 4001 (Rush Run Road) in Luzerne Township

    Pipe Replacement is scheduled for:

    • Route 4026 (Fords Hill Road) in Redstone Township

    • Route 4036 (Central School Road) in Jefferson Township

    Base Repair is scheduled for:

    • Route 1025 (Country Club Road) in Bullskin Township

    • Route 1027 (Mt Pleasant Road) in Upper Tyrone Township

    • Route 1042 (Kingview Road) in Bullskin/Upper Tyrone Township

    • Route 1046 (County Club Lane) in Bullskin Township

    • Route 1059 (Dexter Road) in Upper Tyrone Township

    Shoulder Cutting is scheduled for:

    • Route 0281 (Confluence / Mae West Road) in Markleysburg / Henry Clay Townships

    • Route 2013 (Maryland Road) in Henry Clay Township

    Boom Mowing is scheduled for:

    • Route 3003 (Tom Cat Hollow Road) in Springhill / Nicholson Townships

    • Route 3004 (Wymps Gap Road) in Springhill Township

    Brushing is scheduled for:

    • Various Routes

    Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.

    Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the County.

    PennDOT has a toll-free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concern.  This number can also be utilized to report locations of dead deer on state highways.  The number is 1-800-FIX ROAD (1-800-349-7623). 

    Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 

    511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts.
