Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing improvement work on Route 50 (Washington Avenue) in Carnegie Borough, Allegheny County will occur this weekend Saturday morning, November 4 through Monday morning, November 6 weather permitting.
Concrete patching, sawcutting, joint sealing, and other miscellaneous construction activities requiring single-lane alternating traffic on Route 50 between East Main Street and Lincoln Avenue from 7 a.m. Saturday morning through 6 a.m. Monday morning. Noise restrictions will be in place from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday nights. Overnight work will be limited to less disruptive operations.
Additionally, concrete patching work will occur on Academy Street requiring a roadway closure and the detouring of traffic from 7 a.m. Saturday morning continuously through 6 a.m. Monday morning.

Work on this $1.2 million project will occur on Route 50 between Boden Avenue and East Main Street.
Please use caution while traveling through the work zone. Flaggers will assist motorists through the construction area.
Gulisek Construction is the prime contractor.
