  1. 1

    Step One

Appropriate district personnel access the PA DRC INSIGHT Portal (https://pa.drcedirect.com) to download the DRC INSIGHT software. If the current District Assessment Coordinator (DAC) does not have access, please reach out to PA Customer Service (PAcustomerservice@datarecognitioncorp.com).

Note: The Classroom Diagnostic Tools (CDT) are also available for remote students to test outside of the school by accessing the public browser URL: (Sign In - DRC INSIGHT)

  2. 2

    Step Two

PA Customer Service will create or update the account for the DAC. The DAC will then create or update user accounts within their district.

  3. 3

    Step Three

When new accounts are created, users will receive a system generated email informing them of the account details and how to access their DRC INSIGHT Portal account. If the user already has an account, but it was updated, the new administration will appear in the drop-down the next time they login.

  4. 4

    Step Four

By clicking on the Documents under General Information, and selecting the current CDT administration, and clicking the show Documents button, District Assessment and Technology Coordinators can access and review first the Technology and Test Coordinator PowerPoints, followed by the current CDT User Guide and CDT Interactive Reports User Guide on the DRC INSIGHT Portal.

  5. 5

    Step Five

After completing the review of the training materials, District Assessment and Technology Coordinators will coordinate the installation of the DRC INSIGHT Software in all schools that plan on the Classroom Diagnostic Tools assessment

  6. 6

    Step Six

District Assessment Coordinators will coordinate the setup of the new DRC INSIGHT Portal user accounts, or update existing accounts for all School Assessment Coordinators, Teacher, and Test Administrators. Refer to the Classroom Diagnostic Tools and Interactive Reports user guides for instructions on how to create new or update existing DRC INSIGHT Portal user accounts.

  7. 7

    Step Seven

District Assessment Coordinators should ensure that all School Assessment Coordinators, Teachers, and Test Administrators review and have access to all the training material and manuals described throughout this document.

  8. 8

    Step Eight

District and School Assessment Coordinators will work with their Teachers and follow the steps detailed in the Classroom Diagnostic Tools User Guide to complete Test Setup. These tasks are required for students to take the assessment and also allow administrators the ability to view the data.

  9. 9

    Step Nine

Teachers administer the Classroom Diagnostic Tools assessment to students.

  10. 10

    Step Ten

Teachers access the Interactive Reports in the DRC INSIGHT Portal to view student results and get connected with materials and resources aligned with the results.

  11. 11

    Step Eleven

Teachers use the materials and resources to provide immediate enrichment or remediation activities inside the classroom.

  12. 12

    Step Twelve

To track instructional impact and be provided with updated materials and resources based on progressing student subject knowledge, teachers are encouraged to repeat Step Nine through Step Eleven as they deem necessary throughout the year. (PDE recommendation: allow sufficient time between testing, e.g., five to six weeks, to allow for instructional impact).
