King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that roadway milling will close U.S. 202 Parkway and Route 63 (Welsh Road) in Montgomery, Upper Gwynedd, and Lower Gwynedd townships due to a tractor trailer crash with diesel fuel spillage.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Friday, October 20, from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM, milling will take place at the U.S. 202 Parkway and Route 63 (Welsh Road) intersection. U.S. 202 Parkway will be closed between Knapp Road and Dekalb Pike (Business U.S. 202). In addition, Route 63 (Welsh Road) will be closed between Dekalb Pike (Business U.S. 202) and Stump Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use the posted detour and follow road closure signage.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
