Construction Activities Scheduled Next Week on Three State Highways in Philadelphia, Chester County

King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities will occur next week on three state highways in Philadelphia and Chester counties.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Philadelphia

  • Monday, August 14, through Thursday, August 17, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Walt Whitman Bridge/Packer Avenue (I-76 East) and Broad Street (Route 611) interchanges for guiderail installation; and
  • Monday, August 14, through Thursday, August 17, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Walt Whitman Bridge/Packer Avenue (I-76 East) and Columbus Boulevard/Washington Avenue interchanges for guiderail installation.

Chester County

  • Monday, August 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Yellow Springs Road between North Valley Road and Diamond Rock Hill Road in Tredyffrin Township for bridge inspection.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
