Callery Bridges Replacement Project on Mars-Evans City Road Beginning April 1 in Butler County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today the start of bridge replacement project on the Callery Bridge in Callery Borough, Adams Township, Butler County.

This project will be constructed in phases to allow for one-lane traffic controlled by a temporary traffic signal to be maintained via various traffic shifts.  Beginning April 1, crews will begin paving the northbound shoulder of Mars-Evans City Road between the intersections of Kline Avenue/Marburger Road and Center Street.  Following completion, traffic will be shifted to the newly paved shoulder while the southbound lane is constructed.

The contractor will maintain access to all driveways, local roads, and businesses.

Contractor, Chivers Construction Co., Inc., Fairview, PA, will be completing this $4 million bridge project, estimated to be completed in October 2025.  This is the second of two bridges to be replaced as part of this project.  The first bridge was completed in 2024.
