Inspection Next Week on Route 74 (S. Queen St.) Bridge over I-83 in York County

Traffic will be restricted on I-83 near Exit 16 A/B.

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that there will be traffic restrictions next week on Interstate 83 in York County so an inspection can be performed on the Route 74 (South Queen Street) bridge spanning the interstate at Exit 16 A/B in York Township. 

Weather permitting, an inspection will be performed Monday and Tuesday, November 6 and 7, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the Route 74 bridge spanning I-83 near Exit 16 A/B. There will be alternating morning right lane restrictions and afternoon left lane restrictions in the northbound lanes of I-83 on Monday, November 6, and in the southbound lanes of I-83 on Tuesday, November 7.

Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the inspection crews.
