Roadway Sweeping Set for April 14, Yeagertown to Reedsville

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will be roadway sweeping in the Lewistown area on Friday, April 14.

Crews will sweep along State Route 1005 (Main Street/Manns Narrow Road) from Yeagertown through Reedsville. This work will be performed by Mifflin County PennDOT Maintenance and will take place from 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. that day.

Parking along Route 1005 may be impacted during this sweeping operation. Additionally, motorists should be alert for this moving operation and allow for possible, short travel delays.
With the start of the spring season, sweeping work removes excess material from the roadway.
During the week, other roadways will see sweeping activity, including:

State Route: 1002 (Honey Creek Road to New Lancaster Valley)

PennDOT reminds drivers to use caution, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
