Turn Your Caregiving Skills into a Career
It is becoming more common for caregivers to apply the skills that they have learned through their caregiving journey to a professional career. Professional caregivers include Direct Care Workers (DCWs), Personal Care Aides (PCAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), or Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs).
Professional caregivers may work in different settings like an individual’s home, a Personal Care Home, an Assisted Living Facility, or Nursing Home. They may also work for different programs like the Caregiver Support Program (CSP), Community HealthChoices, or Veterans programs.
The different types of professional caregivers will be required to undergo different levels of training and certification.
