Here’s a timeline of suggested actions to focus on:
January
- New application season opens.
- Encourage applicants to submit an application to receive a maximum standard rebate up to $1,000.
- Remind eligible Pennsylvanians that it’s necessary to apply for a rebate every year because eligibility is based upon annual income and property taxes/rent paid in the prior year.
- Promote online filing through myPATH as the fastest and simplest option for submitting a rebate application.
- Direct those eligible to pa.gov/ptrr for information on the program, application tips, and locations where free, in-person filing assistance is available.
February to May

- Increase outreach leading up to the final deadline to apply on December 31.
