As the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's in-house publication shop, the Bureau of Publications operates large format print and print-to-mail services to state agencies. The Bureau of Publications does not offer its services to outside entities or the general public.

The Pennsylvania Manual

​The Pennsylvania Manual​ is a comprehensive guide to Pennsylvania's state and local government. For more than 200 years, the Commonwealth has provided this information for the benefit of Pennsylvanians and serves as a valuable reference tool for schools, libraries, and the general public. The Manual is published biennially and includes Pennsylvania history, the Constitution and information regarding elections, municipalities and local and state officeholders. The Manual also profiles the powers, functions, and duties of the Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches of Commonwealth government. 

 

Copies of The Pennsylvania Manual may be ordered by anyone through the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission's online bookstore.
