Department of General Services Announces Approximately 350 Vehicles for Sale at the August Commonwealth Auction

Pre-registration is mandatory to participate in the auction. Pre-registration and an in-person preview will run from Saturday, August 9, through Monday, August 11.

Harrisburg, PA – Today, the Department of General Services' Bureau of Vehicle Management (BVM) announced that approximately 350 used vehicles will be up for public purchase at the August Commonwealth Vehicle Auction. The auction is open to the public and will take place on Tuesday, August 12, at 10 AM at Manheim Keystone Pennsylvania, 488 Firehouse Road in Grantville. 

Vehicle offerings will include ‘retired’ state police vehicles, as well as a variety of 4-wheel drive SUVs, utility vehicles, pickup trucks, and front and all-wheel drive sedans and minivans from Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Nissan, Toyota, GMC, Jeep and more. The auction will also feature vehicles seized by state law enforcement agencies.

For motorcycle enthusiasts, this month’s auction will also include five Harley-Davidson motorcycles, which are not typically available at Commonwealth auctions.

Pre-registration and in-person preview of vehicles begins on Saturday, August 9. Previews will take place each day from 9 AM to 3 PM through Monday, August 11, at the Grantville auction site. Pre-registration is mandatory for the auction and must be completed on or before Monday, August 11, at 4:00 PM. There is no registration on the day of the sale. Cash will not be accepted for registration. 

The auction will begin at on Tuesday, August 12, at 10:00 AM. Buyers must make purchases with cash, certified funds in the forms of money order, cashier's check, or certified check, made payable to “Cox Automotive.”
