Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission Opens 2024-25 Cultural and Historical Support Grants to Invest in Museums, County Historical Societies

Harrisburg, PA – Executive Director Andrea Lowery of the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC) today announced that the application window is open for Cultural and Historical Support Grants. Subject to the availability of funding, the program offers nearly $2 million in funding to eligible museums and historical societies across the Commonwealth.

“Museums and historical organizations connect visitors with people, places, events, and ideas from our collective past, imparting the wisdom learned through hardship and perseverance for future generations,” Director Lowery said. “These grants enable Pennsylvania’s museums and historical societies to make those connections, to tell our stories, by providing educational opportunities for all and building tourism opportunities for our communities.”

All applications must be completed by midnight on Friday, August 23, 2024. Please note that all PHMC grant applications are now submitted on the Commonwealth’s Single Application for Assistance system. The PHMC website has eligibility information and grant guidelines.
