Harrisburg, PA – Today, Acting Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt announced that the Chinese-language version of vote.pa.gov is now live as the Shapiro Administration continues its commitment to ensuring that all eligible voters have the resources they need to make their voices heard.
"This development represents another important milestone in the Shapiro Administration's efforts to make registering to vote and the voting process accessible to all eligible voters," Schmidt said. "Pennsylvanians whose preferred language is Chinese can now find all the information they need about elections and voting from an official source."
Some pages and resources on vote.pa.gov have been available in Chinese previously, but now Chinese-speaking voters can navigate the whole website in Chinese without having to switch back and forth from English. A Spanish-language version of vote.pa.gov was made available last month.
To access the Chinese-language version of vote.pa.gov, voters can click the 繁體中文資源 tab on the icon bar on the homepage.
The website contains important deadlines for voters, voter registration information, a link to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot, a polling place locator tool, contact information for all 67 county election offices, tips for first-time voters and overseas civilian and military voters, elections FAQs, and much more.
For more information on voting in Pennsylvania, voters can visit vote.pa.gov or call the Department of State's year-round voter hotline, 1-877-VOTESPA (1-877-868-3772), which offers information and interpretation services in more than 200 languages.
