Khera Bowman serves at the Digital Director for the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (PHRC). In this capacity, she oversees digital communications such as PHRC's social media accounts, social media campaigns and creating and managing content on the website. Since joining the PHRC in 2023, Bowman has also served as the Education and Outreach Coordinator, where she acted as a liaison to advisory councils, conducted community outreach and assisted in creating and facilitating a student-based curriculum to middle-school aged students.
Prior to her work with the Commission, Bowman spent years honing her expertise in the communications sector. From 2021-2023 she served as the communications coordinator for a local school district, leading communication efforts through mass notification systems, social media branding and graphic design. Her foundation in media began at Tribune Media (FOX43), where she served as a Production Technician and Web Producer for live broadcasts (2017-2020).
Bowman holds a bachelor's degree in mass communications with a minor in visual communications from York College of Pennsylvania. She is also a 2024 graduate of the Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Development Institute.
