    Pennsylvania’s PA250 initiatives highlight the Commonwealth’s rich cultural heritage and creative spirit through statewide programming.

    Many Communities, One Commonwealth

    Inviting residents to experience the Commonwealth through the eyes of its youngest voices, the "Many Communities, One Commonwealth" collaborative initiative is administered by Pennsylvania Creative Industries and powered by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts in partnership with the Pennsylvania Art Education Association. Showcasing original K-12 artwork reflecting local landmarks, personal identity, and community history, the final piece was designed in the shape of Pennsylvania by Moravian University student Caroline Melillo with consulting support from Lehigh Valley artist Matt Halm, beautifully encapsulating the diverse stories defining our home as we celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary.

    Our Jazz Story

    Following this statewide artistic celebration, the PA Jazz Alliance, Inc., in partnership with Pennsylvania Creative Industries and the National Endowment for the Arts, presents "Our Jazz Story," a monumental five-city tour celebrating Pennsylvania’s pivotal contributions to jazz history from early swing to modern fusion. Brought to life by the 20-piece Keystone Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Marko Marcinko, each November stop features dynamic live music, historical narration, and projected imagery honoring legendary artists like John Coltrane, Billie Holiday, and Nina Simone across venues in Erie, Huntingdon Valley, Dallas, Harrisburg, and Pittsburgh.
