Quarterly Meeting Scheduled for July 11-12

HARRISBURG, Pa. (June 30) – The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) will hold its quarterly business meeting on July 11-12 at its Harrisburg headquarters, located at 1601 Elmerton Avenue, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

As part of the quarterly meeting, committees will meet beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 11, and again at 8:10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12. Formal consideration of the agenda by the full Commission will begin at approximately 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12.

All committee meetings and the formal meeting are open to the public. A complete copy of the meeting schedule and the full agenda for the meeting can be found on the PFBC’s website.  

In honor of its 150th Anniversary and in conjunction with the meeting, the PFBC is offering a special Family Fishing Festival on Monday, July 11, at 6 p.m. at Gifford Pinchot State Park. The 2,338-acre park is located in northern York County along PA 177 between the towns of Rossville and Lewisberry. The event will be held at the Conewago Day Use Area.

PFBC staff and Commissioners will teach fishing skills and assist anglers. Participants will also receive a 150th Anniversary commemorative item.
