Portion of Susquehanna River Near Harrisburg International Airport to be Restricted During Air Show

HARRISBURG, Pa. (May 11) – The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) is alerting boaters that access to a portion of the Susquehanna River will be restricted from May 21-25, during the upcoming Air Dot Show Tour at Harrisburg International Airport, Dauphin County.

For the safety of the public and air show participants, buoys will be placed in the river to mark a temporary exclusion zone which includes the immediate area adjacent to the airport runway and extends to mid-river.

Waterways Conservation Officers and other security personnel will be present in the area to redirect boat traffic around the exclusion zone, as necessary.  Unauthorized persons and boats who enter the restricted area will result in a delay in air show operations and could be subject to fines and penalties.

A map of the temporary exclusion zone can be viewed online here.
