    PFBC Sponsors ‘Catch the Value!’ Cabin Fever Kayak Package Giveaway

    ​HARRISBURG, Pa. (Jan. 11) – The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) has partnered with Cabela’s to sponsor a kayak package giveaway during the winter months when many anglers are either getting ready for the upcoming fishing seasons or visiting sports and outdoors shows and making plans to get out an enjoy the outdoors more in the New Year.

    The grand prize in this unique giveaway is an Emotion Kayaks Stealth Angler 11 fishing kayak; an advanced angler tackle bag; two cool mesh life jackets; and a fish eagle classic rod/reel combo. All of the prizes have been donated by Cabela’s.

    The public can enter this giveaway by visiting www.GoneFishingPA.comthrough March 14, or by entering in person at the PFBC booth at one of the eight following events:

    • Jan. 9-16  – Pennsylvania Farm Show, Farm Show Complex, Harrisburg
    • Jan. 15-17 and Jan. 22-24 – Pittsburgh Boat Show, Monroeville Convention Center, Monroeville
    • Jan. 28-31  –  Early Bird Expo, Bloomsburg Fair Grounds
    • Feb. 6-14 – Great American Outdoor Show, Farm Show Complex, Harrisburg
    • Feb. 17-21 – Allegheny Sport, Travel and Outdoor Show, Monroeville Convention Center, Monroeville
    • Feb. 25-28  – Greater Philadelphia Outdoor Sportshow, Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, Oaks
    • March 6-8 – Erie Sport and Travel Expo, Bayfront Convention Center, Erie
    • March 11-13 – Southern Clarion County Sport and Outdoor Show, East Brady Community Center, East Brady

    “This is an opportunity to invite people to come and visit us at sports and outdoor shows this winter” said Steve Kralik, Director of the PFBC Bureau of Outreach, Education and Marketing. “It also gives us a chance to speak with people and promote the good fishing and boating opportunities available here in the Commonwealth.”

    “We particularly want to thank the sponsor for donating the prizes,” he added. “One lucky individual is going to be nicely equipped for kayak fishing this year.”

    The winner will be notified after April 8. A date, time and location for the winner to pick up the kayak package will be determined in the weeks after the winner is notified. No purchase is required and only one entry per qualifying adult will be accepted.
