Northumberland County Access Area to Close for Repairs July 17

HARRISBURG, Pa. (July 13) – The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is alerting anglers and boaters who use the Watsontown Borough access area in Northumberland County that the facility will be closed beginning July 17 to replace the existing concrete boat launch ramp.

The access area is located off U.S. Route 15 north of I-80 and provides access to the West Branch Susquehanna River.
The project is expected to last approximately three weeks. The access area is tentatively scheduled to reopen to the public on Saturday, Aug. 5.
Other nearby access areas available for boaters include Great Stream Commons near Allenwood, Union County, and Milton State Park in Milton, Northumberland County.
